Port Askaig Sherry Cask brings together the rugged, smoky character of Islay whisky with the richness and depth of Oloroso sherry cask maturation. Produced in small batches using sherry butts sourced from the renowned Spanish cooperage José y Miguel Martín, this is a bold and characterful expression that balances coastal peat smoke with dark fruit sweetness and warming spice.

The nose opens with smoked damson jam, orange zest and liquorice, accompanied by savoury, peppery notes. On the palate, layers of coal smoke, dark chocolate, dark cherries and charred barbecue flavours develop, creating a rich and powerful dram. The finish is long and warming, with cocoa nibs, dried mint and lingering notes of smoky berries.

A superb choice for drinkers who enjoy the interplay between heavily flavoured Islay whisky and the complexity of sherry-seasoned oak.
