Craigellachie 15 Year Old 2009 (Curious Whiskies)
This single malt from Craigellachie spent 15 years maturing in a combo of American oak bourbon casks and European oak sherry casks between 2009 and 2024. The whisky was independently bottled by the folks at Curious Whiskies, with a rather eye-catching picture of a horse with a mane of snakes! Curious indeed.
Tasting notes include apples, peach, and a touch of star anise.
On the palate you will find notes of spiced fruit cakes, finishing dry and pleasantly bitter.
