The ninth instalment in Chichibu's celebrated London Edition series, the 2026 release is a UK-exclusive Japanese single malt that showcases the distillery's vibrant, fruit-forward spirit and Ichiro Akuto's skill in selecting and marrying exceptional casks.

This edition brings together just 16 casks from the original Chichibu distillery. The majority are first- and second-fill ex-bourbon barrels, complemented by two wine casks sourced from California and New Zealand. This carefully selected combination creates a whisky that balances creamy vanilla sweetness and bright orchard fruit with the added complexity of wine cask maturation.

On the nose, honey, vanilla and whipped cream are lifted by fresh grapefruit peel. The palate develops into rich stone fruit, with ripe apricots and peaches taking centre stage. The finish is smooth and indulgent, with sweet vanilla custard and a subtle touch of cracked white pepper.

The 2026 edition also completes Chichibu's three-part Warrior Series, making it particularly appealing to collectors of the London Edition range as well as enthusiasts of Japanese single malt.
