Ballindalloch ‘Aberdeen Angus’ Limited Edition Release
Celebrating the 150th edition of the Aberdeen-Angus Cattle Society's Herd Book, this special release from Ballindalloch Distillery brings together two of the Ballindalloch Estate's proudest traditions: exceptional single malt Scotch whisky and its historic pedigree herd of Aberdeen-Angus cattle.
As one of Scotland's few true single-estate distilleries, Ballindalloch takes a distinctive approach to whisky production. The estate's cattle are fed draff, a natural by-product of the distilling process, helping create a sustainable cycle between whisky production and the land.
The whisky itself is a carefully balanced marriage of first-fill sherry and first-fill bourbon cask-matured spirit, combining rich dried-fruit character with creamy sweetness and fresh fruit notes.
The nose opens with fruit salad, ripe banana and a hint of tangerine. On the palate, vanilla and milk chocolate combine with juicy fruit flavours reminiscent of chocolate-covered raisins. The finish is long and satisfying, with pleasant oak tannins providing a gently drying conclusion.
Bottled at 50% ABV, without chill filtration or added colour, this limited-edition release is an excellent opportunity to discover Ballindalloch's distinctive Speyside character while celebrating the heritage of the estate.
