Hailing from Ardnamurchan distillery on the West Highland Peninsula, this fabulous un-peated release has been matured for eight years, including a 30-month finish in ex-Sauternes wine barriques. Bottled at 50% abv, the whisky is free from chill filtration and at natural colour. Limited to only 6000 bottles.
On the nose, there are notes of stone fruits, almond butter and croissants, before a palate of freshly baked breads, peppercorns, apricot puree and heather honey. The finish is notably savoury and drying.
