The Corino family’s story is one of quiet transformation. Arriving in La Morra in the 1950s as sharecroppers, or mezzadri, their rise to become one of the commune’s most respected growers of Nebbiolo is thanks to Giuliano Corino’s determination and vision. Taking over in the 1980s, Giuliano made the bold decision to stop selling fruit and begin bottling wines under his own name. Influenced by the revolution that was reshaping Barolo at the time, he embraced modern methods—shorter macerations, rotary fermenters, and French oak—while never losing sight of Nebbiolo’s elegance.
Today, the estate remains a family affair. Giuliano is joined by his wife Stefania and children Veronica and Andrea, with all nine hectares centred around Annunziata, La Morra’s most celebrated hamlet. This Langhe Nebbiolo is drawn from younger vines in the Arborina and Bricco Manescotto vineyards, at altitudes of 220–260 metres. The calcareous clay soils and southwest exposure yield fruit of clarity and ripeness.
Fermented in roto-fermenters and matured in stainless steel, this 2023 release is pure and perfumed. Vivid notes of cherry, rose and violet lead to a structured palate with fine, supple tannins and a fresh, persistent finish—a classic La Morra expression in miniature.
