The Gin and Tonic has been the Polo Players’ choice of refreshment for over 150 years, since the first polo match involving British Officers in India in 1859; hence the creation of British Polo Gin, whose roots and provenance are inextricably connected with the sport of yesteryear and today. With gin an already over-crowded market, British Polo Gin knew that their gin had to be different, and different for the right reasons.
The gin is 100% organic, distilled in small batch releases of just 150 bottles per distillation, is 4-times distilled and has an alcohol content of 42.7%. Being an 100% organic gin certified by the soil association is highly unusual and something that they’re exceedingly proud of. This twinned with polo provenance means that British Polo Gin is fast becoming a favourite amongst gin lovers.
British Polo Gin Botanical No.3
Their blend of botanicals ranging from Elderflower to Vanilla to Citrus means that British Polo Gin does not have the 'punch' which is all too often present with many mainstream gins on the market. British Polo Gin can be enjoyed 'on the rocks', (which we believe is almost unique for a gin); or taken with strawberry and basil alongside tonic, or indeed enjoyed simply as a traditional gin & tonic with a citrus garnish. Interestingly, as well as appealing to gin-lovers, British Polo Gin has also been successful in converting 'non-gin' drinkers.
A wonderfully smooth and multifaceted gin. Equally at home in a G&T or indeed on the rocks. A champion when deployed alongside Strawberry and Basil
Good quality gin prefer the sloe gin with my sweet tooth though worth a try ... Might try with a sweeter tonic .
